​Here are your morning announcements for Monday April 3rd, 2023. 

*The announcements posted today reflect those which were read this morning. Please be aware that changes could occur during the day (cancellations, etc.) and we might not be able to amend them.  


First Half- Yellow, Green, Black and White classrooms will report to cafeteria during the first half of lunch. The grade level groups from blue, purple, red and orange teams will report to target locations using the Courtenay Bay Doors.    


Second Half- blue, purple, red and orange will report to cafeteria and grade level groups from Yellow, Green, Black and White will be in their assigned areas using the back doors near the gym. 


Target Locations: This week the grade 8 groups will report to the field/ Courtney Ave side of the building, grade 6 groups will report to the gym, and grade 7 groups will report to the courtyard.  


Rotation Flow Chart: Gym --> Courtyard --> Field --> Gym 

Our grade 6 classes will be eating in their homerooms during their designated eating time this week.  Staff, please follow the duty rotation sent out. 

Clubs & Activities: Only announce today and tomorrow’s clubs  

Monday 

  • Dungeons & Dragons Club: We will meet in Mr. Carpenter’s room 114. Don’t forget to bring your lunch. 

  • There will be a new club in the computer lab at lunch for students interested in Animation!   

  • Band – Trumpets Today at lunch – Tuesday's band sectional is cancelled for this week. 

  • Gardening club today in room 312. New members welcome! Members, please remember to water your trays! 

Tuesday 

  • Activities Club – Room 237, Bring your lunch and stay for the hour. 

  • Culture Club: No culture club this week as the grade 6 students are eating in their classrooms. See you next week! 

  • Sports Club: is cancelled today, March 28th because grade 7s are eating in their homerooms. 

  • Band- Woodwinds, Baritone and Bass sectional Cancelled for Tuesday 

  • CHOIR – Soprano practice Tuesday at lunch. 

  • Fitness Club – There is a sign-up sheet on the fitness room door to book your spot on Tuesdays, all lunch. This is limited to only 10 students per week.  

  • GSA leaders – please meet in Mrs. Shannon’s room at the beginning of Block D after you’ve checked in with your Block D teacher.  

Wednesday 

  • 3D Print Club – No 3D print club this week as the grade 8s are eating in their classes 

  • Renaissance Team: will be meeting in room 130 (Mme. Ferrar’s room) during the second half of lunch today. We will also be taking our yearbook photo, so be sure to attend. 

  • Art Club – No art club this week.  

  • Choir – Harmony parts practice Wednesday at lunch.  

  • Band – Full Band Rehearsal after school 

  • Heritage Fair- Participating students please meet in Mr. Robinson’s room at the start of lunch for a check in 

 

Thursday 

  • GSA – It is the first Friday of April, so that means it’s social time for GSA today. Everyone is welcome. Remember, if you decide to come, you stay for the whole hour. 

  • Band – Percussion  

  • Woodworking Club  

  • Cheerleading/teacher practice in room 112 in the basement 

Friday 

  • Drama Club: meet today in Mme. Creamer’s room – bring your lunch stay for the hour. 

  • Tech Crew – meet in the music room at lunch 

  • The computer lab will be open  

Additional Activity Notices:  

Friday March 31st All members of the Rennaissance team please see Mrs Legere in room 224 at lunch first half.  

 

BAYSIDE ATHLETICS: 

Girls’ Basketball:  

Remember to bring your money in to Ms. Hills by Wednesday. Thank you. 

Cheerleading:  

Congratulations to the team for placing first in their division over the weekend! They also won the award for best jumps!  

Practice Thursday after school from 3-5:30.  

Volleyball:  

JV Girls: Practice today Monday, April 3rd 4:30 - 6:00pm & Tuesday 3-4:30pm. Game at MNS Wednesday.  

Varsity Girls: Practice Monday and Tuesday 4:30-6 and Wednesday 3-5. Game at Samuel de Champlain Thursday. 

Varsity Boys’ Volleyball –   Practice Monday 3:00 - 4:30pm and home game Tuesday against Samuel de Champlain. Practice Wednesday 3-5pm. 

JV Boys’ practice – Monday 3-4:30 pm and Thursday 3-5 pm. Game Tuesday at Samuel de Champlain. 

Co-Ed Flag football:  

Team meeting today at break! Please meet Ms Hills and Mme Burkett down at the gym. 

Weekly practices Sundays 11 am to 1 pm at Bayside.
